The scaffolding is almost down at Oria Spring Hill, giving us our clearest look yet at the vision coming to life on the Brisbane skyline.
Construction is progressing well, with Oria on track to welcome residents to their new homes in the first quarter of 2027.
In our latest video, John Fishbourne and Chia-Hung Hsu head up to Level 15 with project architect Nick Symonds from award-winning Brisbane firm MAS Architecture Studio to take a closer look at the façade and hear the story behind its design – from the first sketch to what we see today.
When we asked Nick what he hopes soon-to-be residents will feel when they experience Oria for the first time, he answered:
“I really hope buyers walk out of that doorway and smile… It’s such a liveable space to be in.”

The façade began as a sketch. Project architect Nick Symonds first drew its signature elements as arches running across the building. Over time, they were refined into a clean, modern take on Art Deco, and that design now wraps all 143 residences.
John, Hsu and Nick also take in the spectacular views across the Brisbane CBD and Victoria Park/Barrambin, which will be home to the main stadium and become a key precinct for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
