Be one of the first to walk, ride or scooter across Brisbane’s newest bridge when Kangaroo Point Bridge opens next Sunday, 15 December 2024, at 8 am.

Part of the Brisbane City Council’s Bridges for Brisbane Program, this new bridge connects Kangaroo Point with the Brisbane CBD, making it easier to walk, ride, or scooter between the eastern suburbs and the heart of the city.

This new bridge follows the opening of the Breakfast Creek / Yowoggera Bridge and the Lores Bonney Riverwalk extension earlier this year, both of which will continue to strengthen Brisbane’s active transport links between the inner city and northern suburbs.

These active transport initiatives will ensure Brisbane continues to be a great place to live, work and relax and will provide the perfect way for residents and visitors to explore our river city during the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, leaving a lasting legacy for generations to come.
