As we edge closer to the 2032 Brisbane Olympics, South East Queensland is set to shine like never before! While the majority of events will take place in Brisbane, as co-host, the Gold Coast will welcome a variety of events—from beach volleyball and weightlifting to football and wrestling—bringing excitement right to our doorstep. But the Olympics is more than just world-class competition and the impact will go far beyond the games themselves. Urban development, job creation, and community investments will take both Brisbane and the Gold Coast towards a vibrant, connected future.
Construction of Cross River Rail and the Coomera Connector is already in full swing, enhancing transport links between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. These upgrades will make commuting smoother and faster, both on the M1 and by rail, creating seamless connectivity across the region. Over the next few years, our cities will see new public amenities, parks, and upgraded facilities—perfect for our active lifestyle and growing communities.
The countdown is on, and we’re excited to see how the Olympics will shape the future of SEQ for generations to come.
